Some Facts about Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is a small and ancient town in Tyrol, Austria. It is situated near the Kitzbüheler Ache River and is a center for sports like ski resort and tourism. At the beginning of 2010, this town had a population of 8,204. It is the administrative center of Bezirk district.

It is located within Kitzbühel Alps and within a distance of about 62 miles (100 kilometers) to the east of Innsbruck which is the state capital of Austria. Kitzbühel borough is subdivided in to 24 municipalities. It also borders seven other municipalities of Reith bei Kitzbühel, St. Johann in Tirol, Kirchberg in Tirol, Fieberbrunn, Aurach bei Kitzbühel, Oberndorf in Tirol and Jochberg.
